17x8.5 wheels on A3?
I need some advice on wheel fitment for my A3, I am looking into these rims that are 17X8.5 5X112 +35 MM OFFSET
They would be going on a 2008 Audi A3 2.0T FWD... The stock rims are 17x7 and I now have slightly stretched 215 tires all around(stock they are 225.) Its pretty low on coilovers so I am worried about rubbing considering it is my daily driver. From what I have heard, you can stretch a 215 up to a 9" rim. I want to keep these tires since they are only 1 week old. What do you guys think about the offset?
Any recommendations would be great!

offset its not that bad, im running a 215/40 on a 18x8.5 with the same offset with any modifications to the fenders and it rubs just a lil' bit...
IMO go with a 205/40 and you shouldt have any issues or keep the 215s and roll your fenders a little

It should be fine. I am running 17x8 wheels with a 40 offset on 245 tires. my setup probably would welcome more rubbing.

you'll be ok. the 215's will stretch a little bit and if you do rub, then dare i say, raise the car a little bit or pull the fenders a little until you can afford some 205/40's ... offset should be just fine though...
