Installing CAI on MKIV

I trying to decide whether i want to install a CAI on my mkiv but i'm not sure about what i need to do about the battery. If its too much work i think i'll just get the a cone and heat shield setup. Does anyone know what exactly to do with the battery or what needs to be done in order to get the piping to where it needs to go. Any info will help.

nothing with the battery...a MKIV cai is as straight up as it gets....

for installation, you may need to loosen up the battery from its mount and move it a little out of the way before you can put the piping down where it needs to be.

if you have trouble with that, it may be easier to just take it out completely.

once you've got the piping down to where it needs to go, you can put the battery back in its original location.

you can attach the filter from underneath the car; it'll be easier that way.

it's not difficult at all. just time consuming and pretty much pointless.
