they seem too bright...I would just go with the ones from 42DD for a lot cheaper.

I have the ones from 42DD, but they set off the fault code. They work in my '01 Beetle just fine. You'd have to spend more time and money to install resistors to make those bulbs work in the MkV. Even then, I've read they flicker soon after. Hence, the $49.00 price tag (free shipping) was well worth it IMO. Of course, I'll keep DI posted on how long they last, etc.
