Hear thee, hear thee...the month of June is upon us. Summer's in the air, the birds are singing, the sun is blazing, the chicks in skimpy bikini's are tanning all over local beaches and some of us, like myself, don't enjoy any of it thanks to the likes of Summer school.
Aside from all that, the month of June has begun a new chapter for Dubbers, Inc. Last month we had our first non-Miami Member of the Month from Orlando and now this month, Dubbers, Inc stretches far across the Atlantic Ocean to induct out first non-American MOTM Marcel Mönnich. We've all seen pictures of his and other of our non-Stateside comrades' cars and I know I don't speak solely for myself when I say that we are glad to be sharing our car community with so many people from so many different nations.
The dub scene is all about individuality and embracing diversity and with the contributions of Marcel and other of our European members, there is no doubt this site and forum keep getting more and more diverse and better to boot.
Without further a due, here's to our June Member of the Month.
Full Name, List of Current/Previous Cars and Modifications Marcel Mönnich
My first car was an audi 80 b3 sport edition that had no mods. I now own a mk2 which I have named fire and ice. Current mods include clearglass lamps front and rear and the fronts will have angel eyes....worry not, there's much more in store.
What are your future plans for the car? The car and i are afraid of heights, so we'll be living a little closer to the ground soon. I also want to put a roof rack on it (this is coming soon) perhaps for a surfboard on top. I would also like a new hifi system and to style the trunk and add some pieces of flair
Everyone modifies their cars to their likings, what's the aspect of your car that is your favorite? I love the body lines on my Fire & Ice and I also love my seats funnily enough. I like cars that are a little edgy so expect some cool stuff in the future.
How'd you hear about dubbers, inc? i saw this very amazing video on youtube!
What do you like the most about dubbers, inc? That DI is a worldwide community with great and funny people all loving dubs! There's nothing better than that.
We absolutely love the Euro scene on this side of the pond and are always after European parts for our North American Spec cars, is the feeling mutual? Believe it or not, on this side of the pond many people love american cars with big blocks. Thing is that gas is very expensive and only few people can drive them.
American chicks generally go ape shit over a guy with a foreign accent. You ever plan on taking advantage of that and coming to the USA to vacation or live? I cant understand that part with the chicas but i really wanna visit florida and some other parts of the states!
What's your dream car? My dream cars are audi S4 and the mk2 gti 16v g60. I stay true to the VAG family...
What's a part of the Euro lifestyle that you'd like to share with us USA people? That u can drive on many parts of the german autobahn as fast as u can.
We've got H20 here in the states, but you guys absolutely kill it with the amount of HUGE shows in Europe. What's that like and which is your favorite? Till now i was only on our local dub event but i will go to the next Essen motorshow and perhaps to the biggest meet at Wörthersee.
Props go out to Marcel from all of us here at Dubbers, Inc. Keep doing what you're doing and not to mention, thanks for starting up a page on a European social network to represent Dubbers, Inc over there too.
Until next month if Summer classes don't drive me to commit suicide...
