My Little Project

So I started a project to customize a votex rear for my MKV. Project is that i am going to have turn down exhaust and have a clean rear. Here are some pics of my work that I have done so far. BTW shitty iphone pictures. comments, questions, opinions, or anything welcome.

here you guys go. It started like this.

then i sanded down the difuser.

plexi glass i bought, used a heat gun to get the angle of the rear.

this is right before i cut the plexi glass, i used a dremel btw.

this is after i cut it, this is the front side, i used plastic epoxy to attach it.

this is the back side of the plexi attached to the bumper.

I bought bondo to fill up the gaps, and then i have to sand it down smooth and straight, primer and then paint. ill keep updating with some pics as i continue to work on it. i hope to be done in about a week or so.

for sure. way to step it up

one question though, how'd you get the plexiglass to stick to the plastic on the bumper? How'd you secure it there so it won't move?

Thanks i think its gunna turn out great. The reason for the plexi glass it to reinforce the bondo. I didnt want to only use bondo to fill the gap. the plexi will sit inbetween layers of bondo so its a little bit stronger. you wont be able to see the exhaust behind it. i am going to have turn down pipes, its going to be just bumper in the rear.

^^^ i cut out the plexi a little bit smaller then the size of the exhaust cutout. then i used Plastic epoxy to glue it and hold it in place. I put epoxy on the front and back sides so it will hold firm.

to answer nahuel. i have only seen some one r32 set up that was clean, its on a red gti. ill look for pics and post it up if i find it. I wanted to do this myself cuz this way i learn alot and its much cooler imo.
