DUBRUN09 to H2O

Miami, FL to Ocean City, MD = 1,111 miles. That’s about about 17 hours 47 minute driving time without stopping. That’s not too bad, right?

Well that’s exactly what a group of South Florida members of Dubbers, Inc thought too as they packed their things into their freshly washed, waxed, and polished dubs. Recognized as one of the biggest, if not the biggest, VW/Audi shows in the nation, h2o attracts well over 1,000 VW’s and Audi’s from across the country. The town is littered with Volkswagen’s so low that they leave marks on the ground and bust oil pans to boot.

Some of the weekend’s festivities included the infamously famous “Big Ass BBQ & Music Fest” which was on September 26, 2009. The hosts and organizers of h2o literally lined up 5 bars all along adjacent streets to accommodate all of the dubbers in attendance. The show itself is an after-thought to what is an enormous gathering of people all there for one reason, and one reason alone, Volkswagen’s and Audi’s. Some of the sickest cars make the journey each year to this incredible show and Dubbers, Inc did not disappoint showing up with 16 dedicated forum members making the trip.

A big thank you to all of the organizers for their work putting this together. Every car and person had a decal for the Dubrun and T-Shirt with sponsors like Wolfcars, EuroDouche, and DubKultur as well. The trip was a huge success and who can ever forget the RIDICULOUS video and film that will be coming your way. If you missed out like I and many others did, the footage should certainly bring tears to your eyes. Let’s not forget our European members, it’ll give you an inside look at what the dub community is like across the pond.
